Manjari Fadnnis alleges pet dog Mikey was brutally killed; calls for stronger animal cruelty laws in emotional video
Actress Manjari Fadnnis has spoken out against alleged animal cruelty after claiming that a community dog named Mikey, who lived in her residential society, was brutally attacked and killed. The actress shared an emotional video on Instagram, urging authorities and citizens to take animal welfare more seriously and demanding stricter laws against cruelty toward animals.
In the video, an emotional Manjari revealed that Mikey had become a part of the society after being abandoned by his previous family. Holding back tears, she explained why she felt compelled to speak publicly about the incident. “I wish I never needed to make this video but I think it’s really important,” she said.
According to the actress, a person who allegedly had knowledge of the incident recently came forward and shared details about what had happened to the dog. Recounting the account she received, Manjari alleged that Mikey was resting peacefully when he was attacked with a stick or rod.
Breaking down while narrating the details, she claimed the dog was left disoriented after the assault and was then dragged to a staircase area, where the attack allegedly continued. “They hit him more that he was bleeding from his mouth and he pooed and he peed and he dirtied the place,” she said through tears.
Manjari further alleged that Mikey was later placed inside a gunny bag and thrown into a creek while still alive. She added that those trying to help the animal are still searching for answers. “We don’t know whether he survived or not. We are trying to find his body,” she said.

In a post accompanying the video, she wrote, “Our Mikey was Brutally Murdered… & we are going to fight for him… This should never happen with ANY Dog Ever again in any Society anywhere! People should be SCARED to hurt an animal! We NEED Stronger laws against Animal Cruelty!”
The incident has sparked concern among animal lovers online, with many users expressing support for the demand for stricter enforcement of animal welfare laws.
As of now, no official update regarding the accused, recovery of Mikey, or any further police action has been publicly disclosed.
