Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who was last seen in Bloody Daddy , recently opened up about his predicament on balancing genres after his debut. In a recent chat, he said that he fought to wear glasses in his blockbuster Jab We Met , which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan. In an interview with Film Companion, Shahid said, “I fought with everybody. I was like, ‘I want to wear glasses for this,’ and everybody’s like, ‘Are you mad?’ Hero glasses thodi pehenta hai? Tu gaana kaise gayega? (Hero does not wear glasses, how will you sing?).” Shahid explained it to the makers that he would remove his glasses during the song sequences.
