Mohanlal shares he ‘will pray’ for a crossover of Drishyam with Ajay Devgn; drops major update on Drishyam 3

Being one of the most loved works of Mohanlal, Drishyam has garnered ample appreciation and admiration from audiences across the country. While it is one of the few franchises that has succeeded across languages, with Ajay Devgn essaying the same role in the Hindi version, audiences often wonder what it would be like if George Kutty meets Vijay Salgaonkar. The Malayalam superstar discussed on this highly-anticipated crossover as he also opened up about on the status of Drishyam 3.

Mohanlal has this to say about the crossover between Malayalam and Hindi Drishyam

While promoting his recently released directorial debut Barroz, in a conversation with India Today, Mohanlal responded to the much-talked about crossover between the Malayalam and Hindi worlds of Drishyam featuring the actor as George Kutty and Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar. The actor expressed his desire to see how this kind of collaboration will unfold and shared, “I have no idea. Let it happen. I will also pray for that.”

Apart from that, Mohanlal also opened about the ongoing progress on Drishyam 3. If the 2021 sequel Drishyam 2 is any indication, George Kutty is not yet done. And considering the success of the two films, audiences are eagerly anticipating to see what the third instalment holds in store for George Kutty and his family. Explaining about the film, Mohanlal admitted that although he has no idea about the progress, he assured that it is in the pipeline. “”I have no idea. It’s in the process, in the pipeline. It is not that easy to bring out a good sequel. It is a big challenge. Part three is a big headache for them, for the director and for all of us. But we are in the process. It will happen some day, I am also praying for it to happen,” he added.
