EXCLUSIVE: Tridha Choudhury on seducing Kapil Sharma for a song in Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 and her HILARIOUS struggle: “I have lot of tattoos…it was covered with make-up”
Tridha Choudhury, who became a household name with Bobby Deol’s highly-watched web show, Aashram, has now bagged the comic caper, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, opposite Kapil Sharma. There are three more heroines in the cast, but Tridha stands out, thanks to her character and also because she gets to be a part of a seductive yet family-friendly song, ‘Aaja Hulchul Karenge’. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Hungama, Tridha Choudhury opened up about her experience of seducing Kapil Sharma.
Tridha Choudhury said, “The song was shot for 3 days. Choreographer Shabinaa Khan is very particular about her choreography. She won’t leave it until we don’t get the perfect shot, including Kapil (laughs).”
She added, “I have a very funny story to share. Now, the thing is, I have a lot of tattoos on my body. The makers never asked me in advance, ki mere tattoos hai ki nahin? Also, the character of Meera is such that she can’t have tattoos. So, especially during the song, they had to ensure that they covered my tattoos with make-up. So, in scenes where I was hugging him or being close to him, we had to be careful that the heavy make-up shouldn’t transfer on him. At times, he would ask, in jest, ‘Tridha ka tattoo dikh raha hai kahin se?’. So, this was a running joke during the song shoot.”
Tridha Choudhury further revealed, “Also, a lot of steps were not meant for him. But he was having so much fun that he also started dancing. At one point in the song, we both shake a leg. His dance wasn’t there in the first place, but he added it. Even in many scenes, we have improvised.”
Going South
Tridha Choudhury began her work in the Bengali film industry and also worked down South and also in the TV show, Dahleez. She confessed that she would love to head back to the South film industry, more so after watching a recent popular film.
Tridha confessed, “The other day, I was watching Kantara: A Legend Chapter – 1 and I secretly manifested that I should land a role in a period drama. It would be so amazing.”
She also said, “I had recently gone to IFFI Goa for the announcement of my next film. That’s where I met Mr Ranveer Singh, Mr Rajinikanth, and Mr Rishab Shetty. It was quite a prestigious honourable moment for me.”
Tridha continued, “Also, it’s my deep desire to work with real actors down South, and not just stars. I believe if you have talent, you can be anything. If you notice, everybody is breaking stereotypes. If you are simply acting, it doesn’t count anymore. You have to be multi-talented.”
She signed off by saying, “I hope I get to work with somebody like Rishab Shetty. There are many more names; I don’t know where to start! But recently, I found him very impressive.”
