The first look of Yellamma, marking the acting debut of music composer Devi Sri Prasad, popularly known as Rockstar DSP, was unveiled recently, immediately drawing attention across social media. The announcement of DSP’s Pan-India acting debut had earlier generated considerable interest, and the newly released glimpse adds to that anticipation. In the first-look video, DSP appears as Parshi, seen seated in meditation on the banks of a river while a storm brews around him—an image that hints at an introspective and layered character. The visual treatment suggests a grounded narrative with emotional undertones.

Yellamma is directed by Venu Yeldandi, best known for Balagam, a film widely appreciated for its rooted storytelling and emotional depth. The project is produced by Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations (SVC) banner. The film is described as a musical social drama with strong cultural elements.

Adding to the interest surrounding the project, DSP will not only star in the film but also compose its music. Over the years, his work on films such as Pushpa: The Rise, Rangasthalam, and several chart-topping singles has established him as one of the most influential composers in Indian cinema. With Yellamma, attention now turns to how he balances both performance and music for his own debut film.

The first look has sparked active discussion online, with viewers noting DSP’s understated screen presence and the film’s visual mood. While details about the storyline remain under wraps, the makers appear to be positioning Yellamma as a content-driven film rather than a conventional star vehicle.

Yellamma is slated for a Pan-India release in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. A release date is yet to be announced.
