Rupali Ganguly can’t stop praising brother Vijay Ganguly for his work on Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar 2

Rupali Ganguly has expressed heartfelt pride and excitement over her brother Vijay Ganguly’s work as a choreographer on Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the much-anticipated sequel to Aditya Dhar’s spy action thriller Dhurandhar. Speaking to NDTV, the actor revealed that she has already seen the first film twice in theatres and recently caught sneak peeks of the second instalment during a video call with Vijay.

“I watched Dhurandhar twice in the theatre. What a film. I can’t wait for the second part to come out, and yesterday I saw bits and pieces from the second part as well. Vijay was editing something and we were on a video call. He was like, ‘See this shot, see this shot.’ Oh, what a shot it was. I asked him to rewind it and show it to me again. Every frame is amazing.”

Rupali also fondly recalled Vijay Ganguly’s tendency to be self-critical, even at the peak of success. Reflecting on his work in the popular show Shararat, she shared how he doubted his own choreography despite audience love. “He kept saying, ‘If I had shot it better, this song would be a hit.’ I was like, ‘Are you mad? This will be a super-duper hit song.’”

Dhurandhar is a spy action thriller written, co-produced and directed by Aditya Dhar, and produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under Jio Studios and B62 Studios. The film features a powerful ensemble cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and R. Madhavan. Inspired by real events, the film revolves around a high-stakes covert counter-terrorism operation and released theatrically on December 5.

The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, serves as the second and final chapter of the duology and was shot back-to-back with the first part. The film continues the story of undercover Indian intelligence agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi, who infiltrates Karachi’s criminal syndicates and political power structures as Hamza Ali Mazari, while avenging the 26/11 attacks and facing even greater threats.

Scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, the film will release during the festive period of Gudi Padwa, Ugadi and Eid-al-Fitr. With strong buzz and industry backing, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is shaping up to be one of the most awaited action releases of 2026.
