Armaan Malik slams KD: The Devil song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’, calls it a “new low”
The recently released track ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ from KD: The Devil has drawn mixed online responses, with some viewers raising concerns about its lyrics and presentation. The song features Nora Fatehi alongside Sanjay Dutt and marks an energetic dance number in the upcoming Kannada film directed by Prem.

Composed by Arjun Janya and sung by Mangli with lyrics by Raqeeb Alam, the track has been described by some viewers as a high-energy commercial number. However, criticism has emerged across social media platforms, with several users calling the song “vulgar” and questioning its choreography and lyrical content.
Among those who reacted to the song was singer Armaan Malik. Responding to a post on X (formerly Twitter), Malik wrote, “This showed up on my timeline and I had to replay it just to make sure I heard it right. Sad to see commercial songwriting hit a new low.” In a separate post, he added, “I am genuinely at a loss of words. Wish I could unhear it.”

Online reactions have echoed similar sentiments. Comments on the song’s YouTube release criticised what users described as excessive vulgarity, with some questioning the relevance of such content in contemporary cinema. A section of viewers also expressed disappointment over Sanjay Dutt’s presence in the track, referencing his recent work and expecting a different choice of project.
Despite the backlash, the song also marks Nora Fatehi’s entry into the Kannada film industry. Speaking at the song launch, she acknowledged joining the project at a late stage and expressed appreciation for the team. She said that working on the film was an honour and noted that the scale of the project became evident to her after watching its trailer.
