EXCLUSIVE: “What I learnt from Salman Khan on Maatrubhumi sets, I couldn’t have learnt from anyone else,” recalls actor Heera Sohal
Actor Heera Sohal’s debut web series Inspector Avinash Season 2 recently started streaming on JioHostar. She will next be seen in a major project in the form of Salman Khan’s war drama Maatrubhumi: May War Rest In Peace. In an exclusive chat with Bollywood Hungama, Heera recalled the memorable time she spent on the sets of the film.
“I have been a big fan of Salman Khan from childhood,” she said. “I am from Mohali, Chandigarh. I don’t have any background in the film industry. Door door tak koi connection nahin hai. I have made it myself till here. It’s a really big thing for me and my family as well. To work with Salman Khan is like a dream come true for me. And we both are Capricorn, so we connect so well.”
Before meeting Salman, Heera had heard a lot about him and his nature. “Right from my childhood, I have heard that he is very helpful and humble towards people. This is the first thing about him for which I have been respecting him. Acting and personality is secondary.”
Recalling her actual experience with Salman on the sets of Maatrubhumi, Heera recalled, “When I met him, I actually realized that he is the same as his image in my mind. He is so helpful. He was helping people selflessly. He was taking care of the entire crew and ensuring that everyone is being provided with all they want. That really won my heart. I didn’t learn from him technically. But what I learnt from him, I couldn’t have learnt from anyone else. I will always remember this whenever I reach a certain level by God’s will.”
Maatrubhumi is directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films.
