Maa Behen trailer launch: Ravi Kishan BREAKS silence on his ‘home from work’ and ‘Jaldi the late’ viral videos: “I swear on Mahadev, mujhe nahim malum main kyun viral hota hoon…I am a human and not from another planet”
Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Ravi Kishan, Dharna Durga, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh, Shardul Bhardwaj, director Suresh Triveni, producer Vikram Malhotra and Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh of Netflix attended the trailer launch of their film Maa Behen in Mumbai. As expected, Ravi Kishan stole the show with his replies and statements.
Ravi Kishan said, “Not just me, the whole world is a fan of Madhuri ma’am. We were all fortunate to share the screen with her. Bahut anand aaya. I want to thank Suresh Triveni, Vikram Malhotra and Netflix for bringing us together. The whole country is talking about it. No one has seen casting like this and everyone is wondering that hum sab Maa Behen mein kya kar rahe hai.”
He added, “I learned a lot from Madhuri ma’am. She is a stickler for punctuality. Toh bada bhaag bhaag ke pehle pahuchna padta tha. No matter how hard I tried to reach on time, Madhuri ma’am would always arrive before me. The way she aced the Kanpuriya Bhojpuri, Gorakhpuriya Bhojpuri or Banarasi Bhojpuri so beautifully is admirable. No one will be able to say that she’s a Maharashtrian and born and brought up in Maharashtra. Aapko lagega ki yeh Bhojpuri ladki hai Bhojpuri parivesh mein.”
Ravi Kishan’s clips often go viral. He was asked about it. At first, he was amused and then he said, “I swear on Mahadev, mujhe nahim malum main kyun viral hota hoon! I ended up saying ‘home from work’. The other day, I said ‘Jaldi the late’. I should have said ‘Work from home’. But then I am a human. Do people think that I am not a human? People assume that I have come from another planet. I am human, and I make mistakes just like all of you, and I will continue to do so in the future. Hence, why do you guys make me viral, I don’t know!”
He revealed, “I won’t name, but people from my party and my superiors ask me, ‘Aap aisa kya karte ho?’! I don’t know what to say. As for Maa Behen, this film will go viral. Yeh khatarnaak type ki viral hone waali hai.”
He also said, “I worked in Laapataa Ladies (2024), which also premiered on Netflix, after which it went to the Oscars. Maamla Legal Hai Season 2 has been trending for two months. And in Maa Behen, you have Madhuri ma’am, Triptii and this toofan (points at Dharna). Geetanjali, who plays my wife in the show, is a celebrated personality of Marathi theatre. Arunoday and Shardul are also quite talented. Hence, because of these people, the film will go viral. And I am also there (laughs). Toh mujhe toh sirf aana hai aur viral hona hai!”
Maa Behen releases on Netflix on June 4.
