Mother’s Day 2026 EXCLUSIVE: Taha Shah Badussha recalls strict childhood rules set by his mom; says, “She was right”
Ahead of Mother’s Day, Taha Shah Badussha reflected on the life lessons and discipline he received from his mother while growing up. The actor shared how many of her strict rules once felt frustrating during childhood, but over the years, he has come to understand the care and wisdom behind them.
Speaking about the habits and routines his mother insisted on, Taha admitted that there were several things he disliked as a child. One rule in particular stood out for him.
“As a child, many of the things my mother said used to bother me, but the one thing I disliked the most was her strict rule of being home by 10 PM and her advice to wake up by 7 AM,” he shared.
The actor also recalled how his mother never allowed him to stay overnight at friends’ houses, something that often irritated him while growing up.
“Apart from that, I would often get irritated by the fact that she never allowed me to stay overnight at a friend’s house. She believed that no matter where you spend your day, you should always return home at night,” he said.
However, with time and maturity, Taha says he has realised that many of those rules came from a place of love, care, and protection. Looking back now, he believes his mother’s guidance played a major role in shaping him into the person he is today.
“However, now I feel she was right,” the actor admitted.
Taha also spoke honestly about acknowledging his own mistakes in front of his mother and credited her for helping him overcome several bad habits over the years.
“As for admitting my mistakes in front of her, yes, there have been many instances, because she has helped me overcome several bad habits. For that, I am truly grateful to her,” he added.
