Vicky Kaushals audition was rejected for THIS film starring Katrina Kaif
Jab Tak Hai Jaan starred Shah Rukh Khan as Major Samar Anand, the protagonist, and Sharib Hashmi portrayed the character of Zain Mirza, his best friend. Interestingly, there was another actor who auditioned for the role of Zain but was unable to secure it. In a recent interview, Sharib shared a connection with Katrina Kaif, who was also a part of the film.
Jab Tak Hai Jaan, a romantic drama directed by Yash Chopra, hit the screens in 2012. The film featured Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. In an interview with Aaj Tak, Sharib revealed an interesting connection between Vicky Kaushal and the film. He disclosed that Vicky had auditioned for the role of Zain, SRK’s friend. However, the makers felt that Vicky wasn’t suitable for the part, leading to Sharib being chosen for the role instead.
For the unversed, Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal tied knot in December last year after dating for 2 years. It was a grand wedding in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan. It was a private wedding in the presence of family members with limited friends from the film industry.
On the work front, Vicky Kaushal is currently basking the success of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Co-starring Sara Ali Khan, the film featured them as a married couple from a middle-class household living in a joint family who come up with a unique solution to resolve their issues. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film released on June 2. On the other hand, Katrina’s last film was Phone Bhoot, which was a theatrical release. Both these actors have a bunch of projects in their pipeline. Katrina will be next seen in Tiger 3 and Vijay Sethupathi starrer Merry Christmas. Whereas Vicky has Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur.
