Directed by Tejas Vijay Deoskar, known for Marathi hits like Ajinkya and Bucket List, Ground Zero marks Hashmi’s first time portraying an army officer. The film is produced by Excel Entertainment, the production company co-owned by actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

According to IANS, the actor was mobbed by fans during the shoot. Reports suggest Hashmi will play an army officer on a critical mission in Kashmir, navigating the complexities of the region. This role is a significant departure from Hashmi’s usual on-screen persona.

Ground Zero will mark the first collaboration between Excel Entertainment and Emraan Hashmi. The film also boasts actors Sai Tamhankar and Mukesh Tiwari in supporting roles.

This project adds to Hashmi’s busy schedule, which includes his upcoming Telugu debut film They Call Him OG.
