Bollywood actress Kajol recently shared her passion for cinema through a social media post. In a video snippet on Instagram, she spoke about two films that have left a lasting impression on her: the classic Bollywood blockbuster Sholay and the Hollywood musical The Sound of Music.

“My favourite film of all time that I can pick up anywhere and watch anytime is Sholay,” she declared. She went on to praise the film’s characters and story, comparing it to a perfectly realized book. With a touch of humour, she added, “Thank God, it wasn’t the book.”

Kajol also shared her recent experience watching The Sound of Music. She highlighted the film’s music and characters, captivated by the story for the entire three-hour runtime. “I sat spellbound for those entire 3 hours,” she said.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kajol recently unveiled a glimpse of her upcoming film, Maharagni – Queen of Queens, co-starring Prabhudeva. This action-packed thriller marks their much-anticipated reunion on screen after nearly 30 years, since their last collaboration in Minsaara Kanavu (1997).

The film boasts an impressive supporting cast as well, including veteran actors Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sengupta, and Aditya Seal.
