After the highly appreciated Lucifer in 2019, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal join hands to mark the return of Khureshi Ab’Raam to theatres this year. Titled L2: Empuraan, the film promises to take forward the story of Stephen Nedumpally and his journey of becoming the leader of the biggest mercenary group – Khureshi Ab’Raam. While the filmmaker Sukumaran decided to drop first look posters to garner momentum from fans eagerly awaiting the sequel, on January 26, he treated them with a major glimpse of the actioner by unveiling its teaser.

Prithviraj Sukumaran shares poster with release date along with teaser launch

Not too long ago, the actor-turned-filmmaker had revealed that he will be unveiling the teaser in Kochi amid much fanfare sparking excitement among fans. On Sunday, as he shared a glimpse of the film, fans have been flooding the comment section, expressing their happiness and anticipation. Speaking of the teaser, it promises to be an adrenaline pumping affair with focus on Khureshi Ab’Raam’s backstory and his rise to the kingpin of the global mercenary group. The film is also expected to feature some of the international actors, considering that Europe plays a major backdrop to the plotline. While the clip primarily focuses on Mohanlal, audiences also get passing glimpses of other characters played by Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, among others.


Meanwhile, Prithviraj also dropped another new poster of Mohanlal in an action-packed avatar on social media, announcing the arrival of L2 teaser along with the release date of the film.


About L2: Empuraan

Along with playing a key role, Prithviraj Sukumaran has also directed L2, which is a second part of the Lucifer trilogy. It is expected to offer audiences a sneak peek into the journey of Stephen Nedumpally turning into Khureshi Ab’Raam along with also showcasing the aftermath of Jatin Ramdas (Tovino Thomas) taking over the political scene in the state, followed by the exit of Nedumpally from Kerala. The film is slated to release on March 27 in multiple languages including Hindi.
