Priyanka Chopra REVEALS she got the right to pick films after Krrish; “Before that, there was always…”

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who recently gave a masterclass at the 2023 Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival, revealed that she got into a position to pick and choose films only after the release of the 2006 film Krrish . Speaking to actor Bhumi Pednekar, Priyanka said, “Many, many films later. I think around the first Krrish maybe, somewhere there. Before that, there was always, ‘Oh my God, what’s the next one I am going to do? What opportunity is going to come to me?’ I picked from what came to me.” PeeCee also added that she started seeking work that would challenge her after Krrish, as she had already done films like Aitraaz and gained critical acclaim. “After the first Krrish , because I had just done Aitraaz as well, I had done work which gave me a solid foundation. 2023 was a special year in many ways. It began with a bang with the super-success of  Pathaan . Superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback vehicle became the first Bollywood film to enter the Rs. 500 crores club. One expected that no other film in 2023 will be able to repeat this feat. However, 3 more films crossed the Rs. 500 crore mark – Sunny Deol-starrer  Gadar 2 , Shah Rukh Khan-starrer  Jawan  and Ranbir Kapoor-starrer  Animal .
