Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle: “There are only two virgins in this industry – Salman Khan and Manish Malhotra” – Twinkle Khanna

The sixth episode of Two Much With Kajol And Twinkle featured Manish Malhotra and Sonakshi Sinha and the unusual combo made for a great watch. Not much is known about Manish Malhotra and his viewpoints, and this episode gave the audience a chance to dig deep into it.

Manish Malhotra shocked one and all by claiming that he has never dated anyone in his life. Manish dropped the bomb during a fun round called ‘This Side That Side’. The prompt that was read out by Kajol and Twinkle Khanna was “Friends can make and break your relationship.” At this point, Manish Malhotra revealed, “I’ve never had a relationship ever. It’s true.”

As expected, Kajol, Twinkle Khanna and Sonakshi Sinha were in disbelief. Manish Malhotra explained, “I am in the best relationship and that relationship is with me.”

Later, the hosts brought up this topic and Sonakshi remarked, “That’s very hard to believe.” Twinkle Khanna speculated, “It’s all a chhupa-rustam relationship.” Manish Malhotra laughed and said, “Not at all.”

This is when Twinkle Khanna raised laughs as she joked, “There are only two virgins in this industry – Salman Khan and Manish Malhotra!” Manish Malhotra was speechless while the rest of the ladies had a hearty laugh.

Salman Khan jokingly declared that he was a virgin on Season 4 of Koffee With Karan, in December 2013. As expected, it went viral and is remembered even today, nearly 12 years after the episode was aired. Interestingly, Salman Khan featured in the first episode of Two Much With Kajol And Twinkle where Twinkle Khanna quipped, “Salman says he is the ‘eternal virgin’, he claims it himself.”

Coming back to Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, Manish Malhotra also spoke about how he got interested in this profession, “I was born interested in movies. At the age of six, I wanted to dance to every song, and I was interested in clothes. One thing, I have to give it to my mother; she encouraged my love of films. I wanted to change the way films look. Because, in the late 80s, movies had stopped looking good. All the stars in the 70s were so stylish. From Rajesh Khanna’s kurtas to Amit Ji’s (Amitabh Bachchan) collars, Zeenat Aman, and all of them. But in the late 80s, I think that was missing. And I was determined that I would only design for movies, and I would always be a costume designer. So ya, that’s how films happened.”
