Advance booking storm begins for Dhurandhar; a thunderous opening in the offing for the Ranveer Singh action outing

The buzz around Dhurandhar has officially quadrupled and nowhere is that more evident than in the film’s advance bookings. The ticket sales have opened significantly earlier than expected, showing the faith the makers have on their movie. The early trends show that the audiences have been waiting for a film like this. For a film releasing on a regular weekday, the kind of excitement this movie has is rare.

What’s even more thrilling is how widespread the interest already seems to be. From metro multiplexes to premium formats to smaller city screens gradually unlocking their shows, the uptake has been remarkable. Theatres might also be considering adding more shows when demand rises, given that the conversation on social media is only fuelling the hype. Fans are celebrating the scale, the casting, the gritty promise of Aditya Dhar’s vision and the hope that Dhurandhar delivers the kind of big-screen, all-out Indian action experience audiences have been craving.

Dhurandhar is riding on the electricity of its cast. Ranveer Singh fronts the film with R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal as the ensemble built for combustible confrontations. Even the younger casting, including Sara Arjun opposite Ranveer, ups the emotional stakes.

The promotional build-up to Dhurandhar, backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, has done exactly what it needed to – turn curiosity into numbers.
