Marvel Studios has released a new teaser trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, giving fans a compelling first look at Chris Hemsworth’s return as Thor in the highly anticipated Phase Six superhero epic. The second teaser, which premiered in cinemas with Avatar: Fire and Ash and is now circulating online, shifts the spotlight to Thor’s emotional journey as both a warrior and a father ahead of the film’s December 18, 2026 release.

The teaser opens with Thor — the God of Thunder — in a solemn moment of prayer, invoking strength from his father, Odin, before facing an impending confrontation. Speaking directly to the All Fathers, Thor implores: “Lend me the strength of the All Fathers, so that I may fight once more, defeat one more enemy, and return home to her — not as a warrior but as warmth.”

This deeply personal monologue highlights a thematic pivot for the character. Rather than simply preparing for battle, Thor’s motivations are grounded in family and protection — specifically his adoptive daughter Love, a character introduced in Thor: Love and Thunder and portrayed by Hemsworth’s real-life daughter, India Rose Hemsworth.

Unlike earlier teasers that focused on broader MCU team reunions and returning heroes, this Thor-centred trailer embraces a more introspective tone. His prayer underscores not only the looming threat but also the emotional stakes of the upcoming conflict: returning home safely to Love, teaching her “not battle but stillness”, and finding strength beyond the battlefield.

Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up as a major ensemble event in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), reuniting an expansive roster of heroes and villains. In addition to Hemsworth’s Thor, the film will see returns from original Avengers stars, including Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America, whose own teaser featured him as a father cradling a newborn — a role reversal from previous Avengers narratives.

The cast list for Doomsday is one of the largest in MCU history, featuring characters from across Marvel’s cinematic and franchise spectrum — from the Fantastic Four roster to the Thunderbolts/New Avengers and even classic X-Men actors such as Patrick Stewart (Professor X) and Ian McKellen (Magneto). Among them, Robert Downey Jr. returns as Doctor Doom (Victor Von Doom), a central antagonist in the sprawling multiverse saga that unfolds in this film and its sequel, Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduled for December 17, 2027.

Ivy Entertainment drags co-producer of Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab to Delhi High Court over alleged contractual breaches: Report

Delhi-based Ivy Entertainment, a subsidiary of Ivy Holdings, has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against Hyderabad-based People Media Factory Pvt Ltd (PMF), the co-producers of the much-awaited Pan-India film,  The Raja Saab , as per an article in The Economic Times. The company is seeking a permanent injunction over what it claims are serious breaches of contractual obligations. In its plea, Ivy Entertainment alleged that PMF failed to fulfil several critical commitments, including completing and releasing the film within the agreed timeline, providing monthly production updates, disclosing how funds were being utilized, delivering agreed materials related to the film, and postponing the theatrical release multiple times without justification. The company claims that these breaches triggered termination clauses in the agreements, prompting it to demand a refund of Rs. 218 crores invested in the project, along with 18% annual interest.
