Expressing her anger over the video, Bhumi took to social media and wrote, “Women not safe even on posters anymore as DISGUSTING pool video sparks massive outrage. This is the mentality of our youth. These are the same people that are going to go sexually assault children and women. We are in a pandemic and showing shame isn’t enough. Stricter laws Stricter laws Stricter laws”.

The actress has consistently used her platform to speak about women’s safety, gender-based violence, and social issues affecting women and children. Over the years, Bhumi has voiced her concerns regarding several crimes against women and has actively supported conversations around empowerment and accountability.
