Veteran actor Dharmendra was posthumously conferred with the Padma Vibhushan at a prestigious ceremony held in New Delhi, where several celebrated personalities from the Indian entertainment industry were honoured by President Droupadi Murmu. The emotional highlight of the evening came when Hema Malini accepted the award on behalf of her late husband, while daughter Ahana Deol was seen breaking down in the audience after hearing her father’s name announced.

The moving moment from the ceremony quickly grabbed attention online after the Press Information Bureau of India shared clips from the event on social media. In the video, Hema Malini walked up to the stage to receive the Padma Vibhushan honour on Dharmendra’s behalf, while Ahana, seated among the audience, appeared visibly emotional and teary-eyed as she applauded her father’s legacy.

The PIB India post accompanying the clip read, “President Droupadi Murmu confers #PadmaVibhushan upon veteran actor #Dharmendra Singh Deol (Posthumous), popularly known as the ‘He-Man’ of Bollywood. One of the most versatile and successful actors in the history of Hindi cinema, he left an indelible mark on Indian cinema through a career spanning over 300 films.”


Known for his immense contribution to Hindi cinema, Dharmendra remained one of Bollywood’s most loved stars across generations. With an illustrious filmography spanning classics, action entertainers, romantic dramas and family films, the legendary actor built a cinematic legacy that continues to inspire audiences and actors alike.

For the unversed, Dharmendra was last seen in the war drama Ikkis, which released posthumously and featured Agastya Nanda portraying war hero Arun Khetarpal. The actor had reportedly been admitted to the hospital in early November following health complications. On November 24, just weeks before his 90th birthday, Dharmendra passed away, leaving the film industry and his fans heartbroken.

As visuals from the Padma Vibhushan ceremony continue to circulate online, Ahana Deol’s emotional reaction has resonated deeply with fans, making the tribute to Dharmendra even more poignant and unforgettable.

Ivy Entertainment drags co-producer of Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab to Delhi High Court over alleged contractual breaches: Report

Delhi-based Ivy Entertainment, a subsidiary of Ivy Holdings, has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against Hyderabad-based People Media Factory Pvt Ltd (PMF), the co-producers of the much-awaited Pan-India film,  The Raja Saab , as per an article in The Economic Times. The company is seeking a permanent injunction over what it claims are serious breaches of contractual obligations. In its plea, Ivy Entertainment alleged that PMF failed to fulfil several critical commitments, including completing and releasing the film within the agreed timeline, providing monthly production updates, disclosing how funds were being utilized, delivering agreed materials related to the film, and postponing the theatrical release multiple times without justification. The company claims that these breaches triggered termination clauses in the agreements, prompting it to demand a refund of Rs. 218 crores invested in the project, along with 18% annual interest.
