The advance booking of Cocktail 2 has gathered momentum as the release draws closer. The Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna-starrer has now sold approximately 23,000 tickets across the national multiplex chains for its opening day, putting it on course for a decent finish ahead of Friday’s release.

As per the latest update, PVR INOX has contributed around 20,500 tickets, while Cinepolis has sold approximately 2,500 tickets, taking the combined total to 23,000 tickets. With nearly two days of advance booking still remaining, trade expects the film to witness another healthy jump.

The latest numbers have enabled Cocktail 2 to almost catch up with Chand Mera Dil, which had closed its Day 1 advance booking at around 26,500 tickets across the national multiplex chains. Going by the current trend, the Shahid Kapoor starrer is expected to overtake that figure later today itself. The next target is Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which had wrapped up its opening day advance sales with around 30,000 tickets. With the current pace of bookings and the final pre-release rush yet to begin, industry insiders are optimistic that Cocktail 2 will comfortably cross that milestone before bookings close.

While the final advance booking numbers will determine the scale of its opening, Cocktail 2 has undoubtedly consolidated its position over the last 24 hours. All eyes are now on whether the film can comfortably breach the 30,000-ticket mark and head into release with even stronger momentum.

Ivy Entertainment drags co-producer of Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab to Delhi High Court over alleged contractual breaches: Report

Delhi-based Ivy Entertainment, a subsidiary of Ivy Holdings, has filed a petition in the Delhi High Court against Hyderabad-based People Media Factory Pvt Ltd (PMF), the co-producers of the much-awaited Pan-India film,  The Raja Saab , as per an article in The Economic Times. The company is seeking a permanent injunction over what it claims are serious breaches of contractual obligations. In its plea, Ivy Entertainment alleged that PMF failed to fulfil several critical commitments, including completing and releasing the film within the agreed timeline, providing monthly production updates, disclosing how funds were being utilized, delivering agreed materials related to the film, and postponing the theatrical release multiple times without justification. The company claims that these breaches triggered termination clauses in the agreements, prompting it to demand a refund of Rs. 218 crores invested in the project, along with 18% annual interest.
