Prime Video has unveiled the official trailer for the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, setting the stage for a new chapter in the struggle against Sauron. The trailer points towards the forging of the One Ring, as the Dark Lord moves closer to achieving his goal of dominating Middle-earth. The new season will premiere on November 11, 2026.

In the trailer, Galadriel reflects on the events leading to this moment, saying, “All of it has come to this,” as the conflict across Middle-earth intensifies. The footage features Elves attempting to hold their front lines, tensions among the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm, and political divisions threatening to push the island kingdom of Númenor towards civil war. In the eastern lands of Rhûn, Gandalf also draws on his magic and powers of persuasion in an effort to counter the approaching darkness.

The trailer introduces the Nazgnagôl, Sauron’s terrifying Ring-servants, who roam Middle-earth in black armour as his forces continue their advance. With several kingdoms facing internal divisions and mounting external threats, the season will follow the different peoples of Middle-earth as they attempt to resist Sauron’s growing power.

The third season is set five years after the fall of Eregion. Sauron’s armies have conquered large parts of Middle-earth, leaving only a few isolated strongholds standing in their way. The Dwarves remain deep within the mountain halls of Khazad-dûm, while the Elven realms of Lindon and Rivendell are protected by the Three Rings.

Meanwhile, Sauron works from his newly completed tower of Barad-dûr in Mordor, seeking to harness a power that could bring his remaining enemies under his control. The season will follow the Elves, Dwarves, Men and Wizards as they attempt to unite against the Dark Lord before he can achieve complete domination.

The first four episodes of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 will premiere on November 11. Episodes 305 and 306 will arrive on November 18, followed by the final two episodes on November 25.

The series is produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, alongside executive producers Lindsey Weber, Kate Hazell, Justin Doble and Charlotte Brändström, who also serves as an executive producer-director. Matthew Penry-Davey is the producer, while Ally O’Leary Cantrell, Tim Keene and Andrew Lee serve as co-producers.

Set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the fantasy series explores the Second Age of Middle-earth. The first two seasons, comprising 16 episodes, are currently available to stream on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories, with multiple language options.
